Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings for a 26-week contract in Clovis, NM, with previous travel experience required.
Details
- Outpatient and acute (inpatient) mix caseload in a hospital-based physical therapy department
- Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with one weekend (Saturday–Sunday) per month; hours are adjusted to maintain 40 hours per week when a weekend is worked
- Productivity expectation is 10 patients per day
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
- Pediatric PT duties may include evaluating and treating patients from birth to 18 years old, and floating to adult units if pediatric census fluctuates
- Epic EMR used on-site; training available for those without prior experience
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current experience in physical therapy required
- Both inpatient and outpatient experience required
- At least one completed 13-week travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred
- Active New Mexico PT license required if applicable
- BLS certification through AHA, AHSI, or American Red Cross required
- If assigned to pediatrics, at least 1 year of pediatric PT experience required
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across inpatient and outpatient settings for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders
- Pediatric PT responsibilities include assessment of motor development, strength, ROM, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait in patients from birth to 18 years old
- Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams and communicates across departments involved in patient care
- Former employees of this health system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
