About the role
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical leader to take on an exciting new role as Service Clinical Director Women's Health Anesthesia and Operating Rooms (Level 9). The Women's Health Anesthesia & ORs service is seeking an exceptional candidate to provide clinical and operational leadership and help shape the future direction of the service.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring the effective functioning of the Level 9 operating theatres and supporting the professional practice of Anesthetists working within the service and providing specialized perioperative care for Women's Health. Working in partnership with the senior clinical staff of the unit, the Service Clinical Director will provide strategic direction and take responsibility for the clinical and operational aspects of service delivery, including clinical quality, operational performance, service improvement and ongoing development.

About you
As the ideal candidate, you will be a vocationally registered Anesthetist with proven clinical expertise in Women's Anesthesia and will have experience in a leadership role, ideally with a management qualification. You must have substantive knowledge of the New Zealand health system and experience in the relevant field. The role involves both clinical time and clinical director responsibilities.
