Mind Marvel Institute is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to become an integral part of our School Mental Health Team. In this full-time remote role based in Fort Collins, Colorado, you will be responsible for providing essential mental health services within an innovative learning environment, significantly impacting students' well-being and academic success.

Work Environment
This position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining a strong connection with the school community. You will engage with students through virtual sessions and collaborate with a committed team of educators and mental health professionals. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as warranted by school needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, taking into account their individual histories, current concerns, and potential stressors.
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans in partnership with students to effectively address their mental health challenges and foster emotional well-being.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care, to address a spectrum of psychological concerns.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing emotional regulation, personal development, and efficacy in coping mechanisms.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare specialists to ensure a comprehensive treatment strategy, promoting integrated mental health care.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies using proven de-escalation techniques and making referrals for higher-level care as necessary.
- Educate students and families about mental health conditions, treatment resources, and strategies to support their journey toward recovery and goals.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all assessments, intervention strategies, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Engage regularly in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities to continually improve your skills and stay current with best practices.
- Stay abreast of relevant regulations and ethical guidelines governing mental health practice within educational settings.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be the student body, which represents a wide array of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will develop strategies to meet the unique mental health needs of children and adolescents, addressing issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and behavioral disorders. Your holistic approach will help facilitate educational success and a positive school experience for all students.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a current and valid LCSW license in the state of Colorado.
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally in either mental health or educational settings.
- A thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and treatment modalities in addition to trauma-informed care practices.
- Proven competence in conducting mental health diagnoses and developing treatment plans executed within an educational framework.
- Experience delivering therapy in both individual and group settings, utilizing diverse therapeutic approaches tailored to student needs.
- Demonstrated crisis intervention capabilities, particularly in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building trust with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working in school-based mental health programs.
- Success in engaging with students through creative methods tailored to their preferences and backgrounds.
- Experience conducting workshops or group sessions aimed at improving mental health literacy among students and parents.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
