Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to manage your counseling practice from any location. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients via video chat, adhering to scheduled appointment times.
• Encourage clients to openly discuss their emotions and experiences, fostering a safe and judgment-free environment.
• Assist clients in setting therapeutic goals and guide them throughout their journey towards achieving those objectives.
• Identify potential hindrances to recovery and implement strategies to prevent regressive behaviors.
• Advise clients on healthy coping mechanisms and practices that enhance their mental well-being.
• Monitor client progress systematically, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including stable adults exhibiting lower acuity levels who may not traditionally seek in-person therapy. This includes individuals facing life transitions, stress management issues, and general mental health challenges. Our commitment to screening clients ensures that you connect with individuals who are ready for therapeutic engagement, thereby enhancing the therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Licensing: An active independent LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license is required. Note that limited or provisional licenses are not accepted, and candidates must have no past disciplinary actions against their license.
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal aptitude, and a sympathetic approach to client interactions.
• Proficient computer skills to effectively navigate the telehealth platform and manage client communications.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience in providing mental health therapy, particularly via telehealth platforms, as well as a background in working with clients possessing varying degrees of mental health issues. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and the capacity to adapt therapeutic interventions for a virtual setting are highly valued.

• A competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and hours worked.
