Life Stance Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity. Work Environment
This role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while still being a crucial part of the Life Stance team. You will engage with clients through virtual therapy sessions, utilizing our state-of-the-art telehealth technology to provide high-quality care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop individualized therapy plans that meet their unique needs.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches to treat a diverse clientele.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, offering a safe space for individuals to explore their experiences and build community support.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal treatment outcomes for clients.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and security of client information.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training to stay informed about advancements in mental health research and practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our client population is incredibly diverse, comprising individuals from various backgrounds seeking assistance with a wide range of mental health concerns. As an LPC at Life Stance, you will work with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relationship challenges. Your role will be vital in breaking down barriers to access and providing support to those who have historically been underserved.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
- An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut is essential.
- A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting, with a demonstrated ability to handle various mental health issues.
- A strong understanding of the legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport with a diverse client base.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and other relevant technologies to manage client records and billing.
Preferred Experience
While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, candidates with specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma work will be highly regarded. Experience utilizing various therapeutic methodologies will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000 annually, determined by your experience and caseload volume.
