Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, focusing on developing personalized treatment plans that achieve specific, measurable goals for client success.
- Perform comprehensive intakes and assessments to ascertain clients' emotional, psychological, and relational needs, ensuring a full understanding of their unique circumstances.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal policy standards, ensuring high-quality record-keeping.
- Participate actively in weekly team meetings, case consultations, and supervision sessions to foster professional development and maintain best practices in therapeutic approaches.
- Engage with community programs aimed at promoting mental health awareness, thereby contributing to the broader mission of providing mental health resources and reducing stigma surrounding therapy.
- Offer crisis intervention services and emotional support to clients in urgent situations, utilizing evidence-based intervention techniques to effectively manage crises and support stabilization efforts.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will focus on serving a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing interpersonal challenges, couples seeking relationship guidance, and families navigating transitions such as divorce or loss. You will apply a trauma-informed care approach, recognizing the profound impact of past experiences on present behaviors and emotional responses.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid and up-to-date licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Vermont.
- Exceptional communication skills with an emphasis on building rapport, trust, and open dialogues with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven ability to utilize clinical judgment effectively, with supportive peer consultation available as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and complying with licensing regulations.
- Experience working with trauma-informed practices, particularly in crisis intervention and helping clients through transitional life phases.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a similar setting, preferably with a focus on family dynamics and relational interventions.
- Experience in group therapy settings, particularly those addressing familial or relationship issues.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this full-time LMFT position is competitive, with annual compensation between $90,000 and $110,000. We offer an attractive benefits package that includes:
