Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative team. Work Environment
As a fully remote position, this role provides flexibility while enabling you to connect with clients in their own environments or through our outpatient office in Aurora, Colorado. Our dynamic telehealth infrastructure supports effective therapy sessions, allowing for a seamless integration of in-home therapy and clinic-based interactions. Monthly team meetings and check-ins ensure collaboration and a supportive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or in our outpatient office, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote mental health.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at teaching essential skills such as anger management, coping strategies, and social interactions.
- Implement treatment strategies that minimize high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and aggression.
- Collaborate continuously with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to align care strategies and improve family dynamics.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to clinic and regulatory standards.
- Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, share recommendations, and contribute to program development.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position specifically targets children and adolescents aged 3-20 who present with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will engage with a diverse array of families, supporting them in overcoming obstacles and improving their quality of life. Your role as an LMFT will be pivotal in fostering resilience and promoting effective communication within the family context.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
- An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential.
- Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with some weekend flexibility considered a plus.
- Proficiency in providing positive behavior support and developing tailored treatment plans.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working with children aged 3-20, especially those with intellectual or developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Experience conducting both individual and group therapy sessions.
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies pertinent to child and family therapy, such as Trauma-Informed Care and the Behavioral Intervention Plan.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
