Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify mental health needs and develop tailored treatment strategies.
- Facilitate therapy sessions using evidence-based practices for individuals, couples, and families to address various mental health issues.
- Guide clients in achieving their personal mental health goals and enhance their coping mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and progress according to state and federal regulations.
- Engage in continuous education and professional development to stay current with trends in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Mental Health Counselor with Onward Healing Therapy, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. Your ability to understand and respect the unique backgrounds of clients will guide you in delivering appropriate support and interventions.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Counseling or a related field is required.
- Active Vermont LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor) license is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey concepts and interact with clients.
- Commitment to working with a diverse population and fostering an inclusive environment.
Preferred Experience
A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling capacity is preferred. Experience with diverse populations and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic methods will set applicants apart. Your ability to build rapport and trust with clients is essential for fostering a therapeutic relationship that leads to successful outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials. Our organization offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
