Self-Care Impact LLC is actively seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) to become a vital member of our mental health clinic located in Norwich, Vermont. Work Environment
This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, enabling you to reach clients in various locations while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for typical business hours while ensuring our clients' needs are prioritized. Collaborating remotely with a dedicated team of clinicians, prescribers, care managers, and support staff fosters a dynamic environment where ideas and best practices are shared continuously.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, utilizing a combination of interviews, standardized assessments, and clinical judgment to identify mental health needs and create tailored treatment plans.
- Provide one-on-one counseling services primarily to children and adolescents, implementing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote effective coping strategies.
- Offer targeted support for clients dealing with PTSD and other trauma-related issues, applying trauma-informed care principles in all interactions.
- Document and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and proper compliance.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to help clients navigate their emotions and responses, facilitating safer outcomes and stronger interpersonal skills.
- Participate in ongoing clinical research initiatives aimed at enhancing treatment methodologies and patient outcomes, contributing to the development of community mental health strategies.
- Engage in telehealth practices to provide remote counseling sessions, ensuring accessibility for all clients, particularly during challenging circumstances.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team through regular case meetings and shared strategies, fostering a supportive professional atmosphere dedicated to client improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary clientele includes children, adolescents, and young adults facing mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex trauma-related disorders. Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
- An active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) licensure in Vermont is necessary for this role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various evidence-based therapeutic practices, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness techniques.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and proven behavior management techniques are essential.
Preferred Experience
- Experience providing mental health services via telehealth platforms is highly desirable, given the growing emphasis on remote care delivery.
- A background in clinical research will be advantageous, helping us drive advancements in mental health treatments and interventions.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000 annually, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
