Work Environment
This role is fully remote, allowing you to work comfortably from your home while connecting with clients through virtual platforms. Our outpatient office setting fosters a collaborative and innovative approach to mental health counseling, even from a distance. You will be equipped with the necessary tools and resources to ensure effective therapy delivery, including access to telehealth technology and client management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client evaluations to assess mental health needs and determine appropriate treatment strategies tailored for each individual or family.
- Facilitate therapy sessions for various dynamics, including individuals, couples, and families, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and frameworks.
- Support clients in establishing and achieving specific therapy-related goals, monitoring progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.
- Continuously stay informed about the latest advancements in counseling practices through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse array of clients from different backgrounds, each presenting with unique challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to relationship difficulties and trauma. Your role is pivotal in creating a safe and welcoming environment where all clients feel valued and understood, promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment throughout their therapeutic journey.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- An active LCMHC license in Vermont is required for this position.
- Demonstrated experience providing therapy in a clinical setting, especially with clients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other relevant methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients effectively.
- A strong sense of empathy and adaptability coupled with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical counseling setting.
- Experience utilizing telehealth platforms and technologies to deliver therapy.
- Exposure to specialized populations such as children, adolescents, or specific mental health conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
