Locums Anesthesiology coverage in Indiana with a defined 7am to 3pm, 8-hour shift and a set block of December dates needing full commitment.

Highlights

• 7am to 3pm scheduled hours, 8-hour shift.
• Adult volume 9 to 10 per day, pediatrics 0 to 2 per day, trauma 1 to 2 per month.

• Case mix includes general anesthesia, OB, vascular surgery, cath lab, healthy pediatrics, occasional NORA, and basic nerve blocks.

Practice Setting

• Inpatient anesthesiology coverage.
• Support staff includes 1 assistant, no CRNA.
• Typical volume, adults 9 to 10 per day, pediatrics 0 to 2 per day, trauma 1 to 2 per month.
• Charting in Epic.

Schedule

• Scheduled hours are 7am to 3pm, 8-hour shift.
• Coverage needed Dec 14 to 18, Dec 21 to 28, Dec 28 to 31.
• Weekend call runs through 7am on 12/28.
• No New Years Day coverage required.

Cases and Procedures

• General anesthesia.
• OB, vascular surgery, cath lab.
• Healthy pediatrics, occasional NORA.
• Basic nerve blocks.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Anesthesiology, Board Certified or Board Eligible, certification within 5 years of residency.
• Indiana license required, will consider IMLC with active LOQ only.
• BLS required; ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges.
