Key Responsibilities
As a Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans based on individual goals and evidence-based modalities.
- Providing therapy services to individuals, groups, and families using a variety of approaches tailored to meet the specific mental health issues presented by your clients.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care, including case meetings and treatment planning sessions.
- Offering crisis intervention services, providing immediate support and stabilization to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
- Participating in community outreach programs to enhance mental health awareness and promote resources available to individuals who may benefit from our services.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions. Your expertise and cultural competency will be essential in addressing the unique backgrounds and needs of our clients, fostering an environment of respect and understanding.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Must hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity, enabling effective work with a wide range of populations.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage case documentation and ensure compliance with treatment protocols and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with experience in community mental health settings, particularly those who have worked directly with clients in detox or rehabilitation environments. Experience in crisis intervention and knowledge of trauma-informed care practices would also be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
