Work Environment
This position offers a unique remote work setting, blending the accessibility of telehealth with outpatient support. Our counselors work from home, allowing flexibility in their schedules while maintaining close communication with colleagues and clients through secure electronic health record (EHR) systems and video conferencing tools. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments with patients to evaluate their mental health status, identifying detailed concerns and areas for development.
- Design individualized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and referrals to other healthcare providers as needed.
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions using culturally responsive strategies that resonate with diverse client backgrounds.
- Monitor client progress throughout the course of treatment, modifying therapy approaches based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner in our electronic health record system to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills and stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, share insights, and contribute to holistic treatment approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Wiser Minds, you will work with a varied patient population that includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our clients may range from adolescents to adults, representing diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. Your ability to build rapport and demonstrate cultural competence will be vital in delivering effective therapeutic interventions that meet our clients' unique challenges.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A current and valid state-issued license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW).
- A minimum of four years of related clinical experience, treating a range of mental health disorders.
- A thorough understanding of mental health issues, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the ability to provide culturally competent care.
- Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain composure during challenging or sensitive situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing effective therapeutic relationships with clients from various backgrounds.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of client interactions.
- A commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and maintaining professional boundaries in all client interactions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience providing therapy via telehealth platforms, adapting treatment to suit an online environment.
- Background in group therapy facilitation and the use of integrative therapeutic modalities.
- Specialized training or certifications related to trauma-informed care, addiction, or specific therapeutic techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
