Actualized Self Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) to join our remote team in Barre, Vermont. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to create tailored treatment plans that align with individual mental health needs and personal goals.
- Provide therapeutic services, including individual, couples, and family therapy, utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches.
- Support clients in identifying their mental health objectives and facilitating strategies for achieving those goals, offering guidance and accountability throughout the therapeutic process.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality while adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards of practice.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, such as workshops and online courses, to stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health counseling.
- Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and support staff, to foster a comprehensive approach to client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will be working with a varied client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and life changes. Our clients range widely in age and background, representing the rich diversity of the Barre, Vermont community and beyond. With our telehealth model, we aim to extend our reach and provide services to individuals who may not have easy access to traditional in-person counseling.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline is required.
- Active LCMHC license in the state of Vermont is mandatory, along with any necessary certifications.
- Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic interventions with a strong theoretical knowledge base.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in documentation management and treatment planning.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a virtual team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in different situations.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, with a proven track record of helping clients achieve their mental health goals.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with a range of therapeutic modalities, allowing customization of treatment approaches to fit individual client needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
