Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, using evidence-based tools and strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
- Implement and adapt evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to optimize client outcomes.
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
- Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness and promote positive change.
- Work alongside psychiatrists and other health care professionals to facilitate integrated care and holistic treatment approaches.
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative approach to client care and professional development.
- Champion client advocacy efforts aimed at reducing mental health stigma and facilitating access to necessary resources.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our patients may come from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Each client presents unique challenges that require thoughtful and individualized therapeutic approaches, allowing you to utilize your skills in fostering strong therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
- Proven ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' struggles and experiences.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills for effective case management and administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in clinical settings focusing on mood disorders and trauma-informed care.
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with community resources and support services that aid in client recovery.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
