Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans that promote healing and recovery.
- Offer individual, couples, and family therapy sessions grounded in evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the various challenges clients encounter.
- Establish a therapeutic alliance with clients by engaging them in goal-setting that motivates and empowers them throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintain thorough and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards in mental health documentation.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The clinic emphasizes cultural competency, where you'll utilize your sensitivity to different backgrounds and life experiences to provide tailored therapy that promotes healing and resilience.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Counseling or a related field is required.
- An active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in the state of Vermont is mandatory.
- Strong experience working with a variety of client populations, demonstrating your commitment to diversity and inclusivity in mental health care.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other recognized practices.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and collaboration with team members.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet client needs.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling.
- Experience in crisis intervention and case management is a plus.
- Familiarity with telehealth tools and platforms is beneficial, given our remote work model.
Compensation and Benefits
