Serene Siera Vista is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a full-time position that operates remotely, supporting individuals and families from our community health clinic located in beautiful Silverthorne, Colorado. Work Environment
Our clinicians enjoy a remote work environment that fosters flexibility while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. Offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. allows you to establish a work-life balance while dedicating yourself to the needs of our clients. Your day-to-day interactions will frequently involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for all those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address mood disorders.
- Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower their journeys toward recovery.
- Monitor client progress through regular sessions, tracking symptom changes and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Work closely with psychiatrists and medical specialists to coordinate care and enhance treatment efficacy for clients requiring medication management.
- Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment, applying newfound knowledge to improve therapeutic practices.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights to bolster collective client care efforts.
- Advocate for clients, striving to reduce mental health stigma while ensuring their needs are prioritized and met within the healthcare system.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position centers on serving a varied population that includes individuals struggling with mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. You will work with diverse groups, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your compassion and expertise will play a critical role in helping these clients navigate their challenges and improve their overall mental health and quality of life.
Qualifications
- A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating the development of trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental approach to understanding clients' experiences and struggles.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain quality care.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with clients suffering from mood disorders, particularly in community health settings.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic models, including CBT and DBT.
- Previous involvement in case management or collaborative care settings is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
