Inner Light Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing team. This full-time position allows for flexibility with remote work while primarily serving our clients from our outpatient office in Bridgeport, Connecticut. As a key player in our therapeutic team, you will provide essential mental health counseling services to a diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and establishing appropriate service plans.
- Designing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans that align with individual client goals and needs.
- Facilitating individual, couples, and group therapy sessions, employing suitable therapeutic techniques tailored to client circumstances.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure cohesive care strategies and holistic support.
- Maintaining client confidentiality, consistently adhering to legal and ethical standards while managing accurate client records.
- Participating in ongoing clinical supervision, case discussions, and professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse population of clients from various backgrounds, each facing unique challenges ranging from mood disorders and trauma to addiction and anxiety. The variety of cases will engage your skills and understanding of different therapeutic methodologies and prompt you to continually adapt your approaches to best serve our clients.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Connecticut.
- A Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting both individual and group therapy in mental health settings.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques relevant to mental health treatment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- A strong commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and managing client care in a collaborative manner.
- Skills in crisis intervention and culturally competent counseling approaches.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 – 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive health benefits.
