As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and medical staff, ensuring comprehensive care for our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans that outline specific goals and measures of success.
- Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families using a variety of evidence-based methodologies, reflecting the unique needs of each client.
- Engage clients in identifying personal goals and progress milestones, providing guidance and encouragement as they work towards these objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards and supports continuity of care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in mental health counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse range of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your expertise will play a vital role in fostering meaningful connections that empower clients to navigate their unique mental health challenges.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field.
- An active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in Vermont.
- Strong background in providing care to diverse populations, demonstrating the ability to tailor interventions based on cultural needs and individual circumstances.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build rapport and foster trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team structure.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience with a focus on clinical mental health.
- Previous experience working in a community health setting or with underrepresented populations.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling practices.
Compensation and Benefits
