Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans that outline specific goals and measures of success.
• Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families using a variety of evidence-based methodologies, reflecting the unique needs of each client.
• Engage clients in identifying personal goals and progress milestones, providing guidance and encouragement as they work towards these objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards and supports continuity of care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your expertise will play a vital role in fostering meaningful connections that empower clients to navigate their unique mental health challenges.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field.
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in Vermont.
• Strong background in providing care to diverse populations, demonstrating the ability to tailor interventions based on cultural needs and individual circumstances.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build rapport and foster trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team structure.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience with a focus on clinical mental health.
• Previous experience working in a community health setting or with underrepresented populations.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling practices.

Compensation and Benefits
