Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments using standardized tools and personal interviews to determine their mental health needs, goals, and potential barriers to recovery.
• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions tailored to individuals, couples, and families, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to optimize client outcomes.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans, consistently evaluating client progress and making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
• Document and maintain meticulous client records, ensuring all communications and interventions align with ethical guidelines and remain confidential.
• Actively participate in regular team meetings, continuing education opportunities, and professional development sessions to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Onward Healing Therapy, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Your expertise will be vital in helping clients navigate their individual mental health journeys while respecting their unique cultural and personal contexts.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• An active Vermont LCMHC license demonstrating your qualification to practice in the state.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build trust and rapport with a diverse clientele.
• A thorough understanding of ethical practices and confidentiality laws governing mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience providing mental health counseling in an outpatient setting.
• Experience utilizing modern telehealth platforms to deliver therapy.
• Familiarity with a breadth of treatment modalities and the ability to adapt methods based on individual client needs.

Compensation and Benefits
